1987

Decorator Caitlin Creer is getting the furniture in and putting the finishing touches on our amazing looking models.  She has the eye and the knack to really make these models “pop” from the inside, as FieldStone Homes made them “POP” from the outside.

Caitlin Creer completed our model home in Lindon a little bit ago; she did a fantastic job. If you would like to view her blog and see what she is all about, take a look at www.caitlincreer.com.  We are thrilled to see what the model homes look like decorated and actually have the feel of a home now that they are complete!

We are excited to be building these great new homes in Lehi, Utah and think you will love them too.

The High School Mascot is the Lehi Pioneers, which is so fitting for this wonderful city.  The Lehi Roller Mills was the “Dance Hall” in the movie Footloose, that was the only thing in town when the movie was made, but now this is a bustling little town at the North End of Utah County. This is the Last Stop before Salt Lake County.  There is still a small “downtown” area with cute quaint shops, little bakery’s and restaurants, and even an old bed and breakfast and motel on Main Street.  This is a tight knit community that has seen amazing growth in the past few years.

Lehi has been listed many times over the past few years as the fastest growing city in Utah.  It was the home to Micron, which is now IM Flash Technologies (joint venture between Micron and Intel), which has thousands of great jobs and is a tremendous draw for the highly educated and young employment base in North Utah County.

Lehi is also home to a HUGE Cabela’s Retail Store where hard core outdoor enthusiasts come from across the West to buy their Hunting and Outdoor Gear.  This store is the focal point for growth in between Salt Lake County and Utah County Called the “Point of the Mountain”.  There is tremendous residential and commerical projects approved and in the infancy that will continue to enhance Lehi as a superb place for large development and a “business” friendly city.  Don’t forget to check out Utah New Homes.

The city of Lehi also knows how to have fun.  One block off of Main Street there is the all encompasing “Legacy Center”.  This is the work out, city playground, indoor pool, fitness center and everything else that spells “fun” within the city limits.  A one-stop shop for children and adult sports programs.

Lehi has incredible schools and iswithin the Alpine School district, which is formidable as a top school district in the State.

Lehi is situated at the north end of Utah Lake, which is home to fishing, boating, and numerous walking, biking and jogging trails abound.  At the west side of Lehi is the Jordan River Parkway, which sits next to the Jordan River. This parkway starts and ends at Utah Lake but can be walked, biked, jogged on for miles and miles up north of Salt Lake City.  A great state funded parkway that is paved and shaded with park benches, pavillions and many exciting scenery points along the way.

Lehi is growing, both with people, businesses and infrastucture.  This has always been a great town to live in, but now it is getting all the ammenities to be an amazing City, and it would be perfect for any person or family to move into.  Many great residentials developments to choose from, so make sure you visit them all!

Pioneer Crossing – “Bringing the people West”

This is an incredible roadway that will increase population, alleviate congestion and increase equity in the homes and land in West Lehi, Saratoga Spring, and Eagle Mountain.  This will change the NW Utah County Horizon for the future.

Pioneer Crossing will be a new east-west connector from American Fork through Lehi to Saratoga Springs. The project also includes improvements to the I-15 interchange at American Fork Main Street and a new 60-inch water main.

During the past decade, northern Utah County has experienced tremendous growth. Projections indicate it will continue for the next several years. UDOT’s Pioneer Crossing project will help address many of the area’s current and future transportation needs.

The two-year construction project will produce:

  • Pioneer Crossing, a new, five-lane urban arterial from Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs to 300 East in Lehi.
  • Seven lanes of Pioneer Crossing from 300 East in Lehi to American Fork Main Street.
  • A new diverging diamond interchange (DDI) at I-15 and American Fork Main Street, which will replace the existing diamond interchange.
  • I-15 widened to six lanes (5 plus one Express Lane) in each direction through the interchange (to tie in to the upcoming I-15 widening project).
  • A new 60-inch water main from Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs to 300 East in Lehi.

Watch the 3D transformation of Pioneer Crossing and the true amazement behind this incredible feat that will be in the backyard of Lehi.  This will do wonders for the NW Utah County Corridor…it is going to be complete in 11/2010.

Is this a good or bad thing?

Employment will increase in the area; both for the building of the area and for the future employees. But will local monitoring be heightened?  The main reason the NSA is building here locally is the highly educated LDS Return Missionaries that are bilingual and are young and diligent with their work ethic and would easily pass the incredible security screening that is necessary to gain a foothold with the NSA.  Terrific place to work and a great place to live.

Take a look at the attached articles and see for yourself!
